Euro-AM's Witbank project awarded for excellence

The National Housing finance corporation commissioned Euro-Am to develop its R260m low-income housing project in Witbank. UN-HABITAT selected the "Presidential Job Summit Pilot Project on Housing - Witbank Project" as a Good Practice from a staggering 700 entries in the Best Practices Programme.

Projects are analysed with a view to extracting lessons that others can learn from and incorporate into their own work.

CMA suppliers feature prominently in Witbank affordable housing

Three CMA member companies, Lafarge Roofing, Concor Technicrete and Fastfloor Systems are playing a major role in the construction of 5 000 affordable housing units in the Witbank Presidential Housing Project at Tasbet Park and Duva Park in Witbank. The houses are to be leased to LSM4 and LSM5 income earners.

15 Million Concor cement bricks for housing project

CONCOR Technicrete is delivering 500 000 cement bricks a month to keep building operations at the huge Euro-Am housing complex at Witbank on stream. By the completion of the project in 2005, more than 15-million of Concor's special-design Diamond maxi bricks will have been delivered to site.
